Trade Claims Group
Bankruptcy is often an unfortunate turn of events for the trade vendor; however, today’s creditor can be encouraged by the development of an active and fluid market for most claims as many institutional distressed debt investors have become accustomed to transacting in claims on behalf of their investment portfolios. Now commonplace, the trade claims market provides a forum for the creditor that offers competitive pricing and liquidity. In addition to converting claim assets to cash, monetizing a claim helps mitigate legal expenses and administrative time and costs associated with the management of the bankruptcy process.
Through Imperial Capital’s roots in the distressed and high yield bond markets, our firm is highly regarded and has longstanding relationships with many financial institutions and large privately managed hedge funds. Imperial Capital’s Trade Claims Group offers a bridge for trade creditors to many of these active and experienced buyers of trade claims. Our team has a combined twenty five years of experience in the claims trading business and offers the expertise, experience and relationships that enable us to deliver the highest level of execution and service
